We are pleased to announce our joint effort with NHG Polyclinics, the primary care arm of health cluster NHG Health, to enhance HbA1c monitoring with SG Diagnostics’ PreciSTM-A HbA1c Analysis System. Through this collaboration, a trial was conducted where 30 patients took the system home for a six-month period. The aim was to support the applicability of at-home testing and provide a faster, more accessible Point-of-Care Test for our community.

One in three Singaporeans is at risk of developing diabetes, and close to one in ten already has it1. While regular physical activity, a healthy diet, and maintaining a normal body weight are keyways to prevent or delay the disease, early and regular screening can help avoid or postpone complications2.

Diabetes is often called a “silent killer” because it may not show symptoms in its early stages. Many people are unaware they have the condition until complications such as coronary artery disease or stroke occur³. By working with NHG Polyclinics, the HbA1c test has become more accessible for patients. Early screening supports timely detection of diabetes and helps individuals take an active role in managing their health.
